Fact-Checking Policy

a) samachaar99.com is dedicated to providing accurate information through all of its content. We employ several measures to ensure this accuracy: we scrutinize claims, challenge assumptions, and question accepted beliefs.

b) We are devoted to maintaining appropriate accuracy in all our outputs. This dedication is crucial for our reputation and the confidence of our audience. The term ‘appropriate’ implies that the accuracy should be sufficient and fitting for the content, considering the topic and nature of the output while explicitly stating any limitations that might affect that expectation.

c) Consequently, all of our output, tailored to its content and nature, must be well-supported, based on existing evidence, and validated. We aim to be transparent about what we are uncertain about and refrain from baseless speculation.

d) Our journalists do not intentionally commit plagiarism or misrepresent facts or context, including visual information, knowingly.

e) We pursue independent confirmation from sources to validate claims, information, and allegations, particularly those asserted by public officials or individuals with motives beyond simply conveying the truth. Content that cannot be substantiated is generally attributed.

f) samachaar99.com stands by the information it disseminates and believes it is accurate. If proven incorrect, we will amend the news item or information as swiftly as possible. We do not intentionally mislead our audience in a significant way. We do not manipulate facts or present fabricated material as truth, which could erode our audience’s trust in our content. We recognize substantial factual mistakes and rectify them promptly, clearly, and appropriately.

g) We offer the public a fair chance to report any inaccuracies or errors in our reporting through the ‘Suggest A Correction’ section located at the end of every web story published.

h) The primary obligation of our journalists is to report, write, and verify facts in stories. Reports undergo evaluation by one or more editors. samachaar99.com utilizes a multi-tiered fact-checking system for stories that necessitate rigorous examination. The seniority of the editors who review a story prior to publication varies based on several factors, including complexity, sensitivity, and time constraints.

Our Correction Policies
Although samachaar99.com continuously strives for accuracy and excellence, we acknowledge that mistakes will occasionally occur. When these mistakes happen,samachaar99.com takes responsibility for rectifying the error and will uphold a high level of transparency to ensure all parties are assured that the incorrect information does not proliferate.

The following outlines the steps that each party should take to achieve accuracy, transparency, and excellence:

READERS:
If a reader identifies an error, they should promptly contact the editor-in-chief, Emilee Wentland, via email, phone, mail, or in person.

Email: samachaar99@gmail.com

Subject: Correction Needed

A correction is not officially submitted until the reader directly contacts the editor-in-chief. Corrections sent to other samachaar99.com  personnel may not be resolved in a timely manner or at all.

When sending by email or mail, corrections should specify the correction, the issue date or number, where the error was observed (in print, online, etc.), the reader’s name, and a contact phone number or email address. Readers should also provide the accurate information and a source for that information, if applicable. For instance, if there was an inaccuracy in a Student Senate vote tally, please provide the minutes from that meeting.

Readers can expect to receive a response from the editor-in-chief and may be reached out to again if a clarification is required or if additional information is needed. It’s important to understand that submitting a correction request ensures that the error will be looked into, but it does not guarantee that a correction will be made.

THE  samachaar99.com :
When the editor-in-chief is informed of a mistake, he or she will investigate the matter using the details provided by the reader, along with meeting minutes, recordings from reporters, and any other relevant resources available.

If an error is confirmed, the editor-in-chief will publish a correction in all mediums where the inaccurate information was shared:

PRINT:
Corrections will appear on page 2A in the subsequent issue released. The correction will specify the issue, article, and incorrect details, along with the accurate information.

samachaar99.com :
The article will be amended, and an editor’s note will be added at the bottom of the article explaining what was inaccurate and the date when the changes were made.

SOCIAL MEDIA:
If the article was shared on Facebook, Twitter, or any other online platform managed by The samachaar99.com, a post will be created linking to the corrected article, mentioning the adjustment made.

After the correction has been implemented, the editor-in-chief will reach out to the reader who pointed out the error to notify them of the actions taken to rectify the mistake.
